Team uniforms play a significant role in creating a positive team culture, promoting equality, and contributing to the positive image of the team. As City of Perth Swimming Club members, athletes agree to abide by the uniform requirements of this policy where applicable to the best of their ability. These guidelines apply to both pool and open-water competition where the swimmer represents the Club.
The Club has the following distinct uniforms as follows:
1. General Club Uniform
The General Uniform consists of the club swimming cap and training tee shirt which is to be worn at training and competitions with athletes own plain black training shorts and pants. The club has swim caps and small numbers of tee shirts in sizes 10C - Large in stock. Orders can be placed via the club website https://cityofperthswimmingclub.org/uniform-shop with items ordered delivered to Beatty Park Leisure Centre during training as soon as possible after order acknowledgement from a committee member.
Bulk orders for optional items will open on the club’s website on the following days:
- 1st of February for polo shirts, hoodies, deck coats and track pants.
- 1st of September for polo shirts and shorts.
Orders will be placed with the club’s supplier twice a year on the following days:
- last Monday of February.
- last Monday of September.
Expected delivery to the club of these items is 5 weeks after the bulk order is placed by the club.
e.g. if you place an order through our website on February 1 for optional, not in stock items, this will take approximately 8 weeks to arrive.
NB: If you or your child competes at State Championships, it is advised to purchase polo shirts and optional shorts and/or track pants during the bulk order periods in keeping with part 3 of this policy (Medal Ceremony Attire).
2. National Championships Uniform
Athletes representing the Club at an Australian Championship event will be supplied, as part of Club funding, with one red cap, one polo shirt and one round neck t-shirt per season (October 1-September 30. If an athlete attends two or more different Australian Championship meets in one calendar year, they will be expected to use the supplied uniform for all championship meets attending in that year. Club shorts and track pants are optional and purchased at the athlete's own expense. Athletes own smart plain black training shorts and pants may be worn.
A white cap will be presented to the athlete(s) by the Head Coach upon qualifying for a pool final or is Top 5 finisher at an Open Water Australian Championship in either an individual or team relay event.

3. Medal Ceremony Attire
City of Perth Swimming Club athletes being presented with medals must be appropriately dressed during the ceremony. The requirement for members appearing on the medal dais at local, club, state or inter-state is the Club red polo with black shorts or pants.
The minimum requirement for athletes appearing on the medal dais at an Australian Championship meet, where representing the Club is the Club black and red polo with black shorts or pants. Closed in shoes are encouraged at pool competitions.
