Uniform Policy

Team uniforms play a significant role in creating a positive team culture, promoting equality, and contributing to the positive image of the team. As City of Perth Swimming Club members, athletes agree to abide by the uniform requirements of this policy where applicable to the best of their ability. These guidelines apply to both pool and open-water competition where the swimmer represents the Club.

The Club has the following distinct uniforms as follows:

1. General Club Uniform

The General Uniform with the training tee shirt is to be worn to and from the training venue. Club black pants and shorts are optional. Athletes own smart plain black training shorts and pants may be worn.

The General Uniform with the polo shirt is to be worn at all meets or developmental camps where the swimmer represents the City of Perth Swimming Club, except Australian Championships. Athletes own smart plain black training shorts and pants may be worn. Club shorts and pants are optional and purchased at the athlete's own expense.

2. National Championships Uniform

Athletes representing the Club at an Australian Championship event will be supplied, as part of Club funding, with one red cap, one polo shirt and one round neck t-shirt per season. If an athlete attends two or more different Australian Championship meets in one calendar year, they will be expected to use the supplied uniform for all championship meets attending in that year. Club shorts and track pants are optional and at the athlete's own expense. Athletes own smart plain black training shorts and pants may be worn. A white cap will be presented to the athlete by the Head Coach upon an athlete qualifying for a pool final or is a Top 5 finisher at an Open Water Australian Championships. The Australian Championships Uniform is detailed in the image below.

Optional Uniform Items

Optional uniform items may be worn in addition to the general uniform at local or interstate meets, as well as Australian Championship events and to and from training venues. Optional uniform items include black shorts and pants, black hooded jumper, deck coat, sun caps and bucket hats (and any other items available for purchase from time to time).
